Things have been quiet around here (Though not at my other show’s site. You should really check out Pulp Audio Weekly if you haven’t yet. Or even if you have
) but time marches on regardless. And it just so happens that 5 YEARS have marched by since I posted the very first episode of Planet Retcon Radio.
And I for one think that’s pretty darn cool.

Chapter 6, the FINAL chapter of Too Good To Be True is UP! That’s it! The story’s COMPLETE!
Chapter 6 in your browser
(In case you missed them, here’s Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 5. Soon, I’ll have a PDF and an e-book up. I’m also going to be submitting the book to some ebook sites. It’ll also soon be for sale on Amazon. Yes, you can get it for free and I expect nothing more than you enjoy it. But I’m not going to turn down money if you want to give it to me
If you have any questions about anything in the story, it is possible that the answer is somewhere in the Crimson Lien Wiki which I put together for just that purpose.

Chapter 3’s up. Not quite as long as the others but easily my favorite of the three. Not my favorite of all six, though
For that you’ll have to wait.

Chapter 2 has been posted. It’s a little longer than chapter 1 so yay!
Chapter 2 in your browser
I dropped the e-reader file. If you for some reason want one, I can easily make it (I’m actually still doing that, and extracting the chapters from it to make them easy to read on the web) but I don’t think anybody wants just an “e-book” of a single chapter. When the final chapter is released, I’ll be releasing the entire book in at least 3 formats: web, e-book, and pdf. There will also likely be a physical book you can buy (squee!) from Amazon or somewhere. I haven’t gotten the details on that hammered out yet, but stay tuned!

I am proud to announce the long-awaited first book of the Log of the Crimson Lien is done!
I am going to release the book in chapters, and announce each one here. There are 6 chapters in this first small book, so it will take 6 weeks to get through each chapter. When I’m done with that, I’ll release the whole thing in a more convenient package.
But for now, Read Chapter 1 here!
Note: I am releasing this work into the public domain with a very nonrestrictive license. The only two things I am restricting is attribution and share-alike. In other words, you can do ANYTHING you want with this work, so long as you acknowledge I wrote it AND allow others to modify whatever you do in the same way. Learn more at the Creative Commons Site on CC-BY-SA licenses. If you can think of ANYWHERE to distribute this, do so. Print it out if you want and put it on a wall. Cut out part of it and put it on your website. Just make sure you let people know where you got it. And let me know what you did!
And don’t let the above scare you. If you want to just read it, go ahead.

We’ve got a new show! You should check it out. It’s a talk show with Bob (aka John, or Quincy) and I (aka Chuck, or the guy who thought this whole mess up) talking about geeky topics in the news, and video games, movies, and tv shows we watch. We don’t swear a lot, but when we do swear we don’t edit it out. Just so you are forewarned.
Attached to this show is the promo. If it sounds like something you’d like to hear give it a try at weekly.pulpaudio.com

Okay, the script was never lost, but the episode was.
I have gotten far enough into my writing to make it VERY apparent that I need not keep this a secret any longer: I’m rewriting the first two episodes of The Log Of The Crimson Lien as stories. I’ve already finished (first draft) Too Good To Be True which, for the most part, parallels the events in the episode you listened to way back in 2007. Wow. Was it really 2007?
I am probably halfway through the rewrite of Salvage, which I have renamed to The Relic. I did not want to release this final script, so as to maintain some surprise at the ending when you finally got the chance to read (or listen to from Podiobooks) the story in what I consider to be a much superior form.
However, unlike the first story this second story is diverging greatly from what you heard (and didn’t hear) on the podcast. It is so different - in fact - that I have no fears whatsoever of your enjoyment of the story being spoiled by reading the original script.
So, after the cut, you will find the working script we used when recording the doomed 3rd (and final) episode of Salvage, which was the second (and final - for now) Crimson Lien story.
Enjoy!

I’ve been updating the Crimson Lien Wiki for a while now, and while it’s still got a long way to go (look at all those red links!) I think it’s far enough along to announce to the world.
…so I guess I just did
(If you notice anything blatantly wrong, feel free to edit it. It is a wiki after all. However, don’t “correct” any actual factual information about the story as that information may have changed now that I’m doing the books)
