Site back up - ish

My first post in almost a year, and it’s to announce that I got hacked, and had to rebuild the website nearly from scratch.

The good news is that Wordpress is updated to the newest version.

The bad news is, still nothing new (Though I am writing, so don’t give up on me just yet)

I’d be glad have your podcasts back in my podcatcher.

    Thanks!

And stay tuned. I totally steadfastly refuse to give a timetable but I’m actively working on a fiction project that will eventually end up in this feed, though it won’t be audio drama.

@RedHerring You should see his front!

I just recently discovered the show, and I loved it! However, The Stargate Cafe ended at such a terrible place…please make more! Or at least release the unproduced scripts or something….

  7. admin says:

Stargate Cafe ended terribly? Chuck and Quincy were getting blowed up!

But hmmm. The unreleased scripts. We do have 2, though neither is final. I didn’t write the next script, so let me talk to who did and see what he thinks. But personally, I love the idea and have no clue why I didn’t think to do it before.

Whoops! I meant Crimson Lien, and I think you did too.

  9. admin says:

Nono, I was talking Stargate Cafe. We have an episode that resolves the Emma/Bill story, and another episode after that. Both need a little work to actually fit in the character’s timelines but both are complete stories.

The Crimson Lien, I only have th e conclusion of the current storyline, and notes about the next storyline (It involves MURDER!) but, for reasons that I hope will soon become clear, I’m not going to reveal it just yet.

Suffice it to say that Chuck and Quincy do NOT die at the hands of the automated lasers on the starship Bastille. They’re not nearly through suffering yet.

I am so glad to hear that you will be making more episodes. I think about your podcasts from time to time and I really miss it.

  11. admin says:

Oy. Marty, I have bad news for you. We don’t have any active plans at all to release a new episode. Right now, the most likely thing to come down the feed would be an audio note from me stating where the scripts were.

  12. Sam says:

I really hope to see some kind of continuation for both Stargate and Crimson Lien. Only Rendezvous reached a true conclusion. Also, you mentioned a Hoff sequel, did you ever go anywhere with that?

P.S. I loved that techno version of The Stargate theme. Is there some way you could post that?

  13. admin says:

I’m sure it’s up somehwere, let me poke around…

Hm! It’s not where I thought it would be. Let me ask Bob if he still has it. If not, I’m sure I can find a drive somewhere with the mp3.

As for a Hoff sequel, that never got past the idea phase. I had two of them. In one, The Hoff would be a sort of “The Doctor” figure but totally self involved and not actually caring about what happens in whatever place he went. I soured on the idea because his time machine really doesn’t change place, just time. The other idea was a second story by “Stinky No Pinky” about the time machine that our Hoff never used, that was left on the stage at the end of the original story. I figured there was no reason that time machine couldn’t have been prepped and ready to take on one journey. I just could never think of a good enough single journey to go on.

Okay, there are two versions of the Techno Stargate Cafe theme, long and short. The short is, I believe, what I looped in the show. The longer one is, I believe, the entire SGC theme done as techno.

They’re up on the Music page, http://planetretcon.com/blog/?page_id=79
