Firstly, I've only gotten through two of the introduction podcasts to this new universe. With college being quite tough recently i`m afraid i`m only catching up now. However, after i listened to the first two introductory podcasts the first "real" episode was up, so i downloaded it.

At first i felt the introduction to this universe worked better when read as at first most of the information just went straight over my head. Maybe i`m just slow (?) but it was too much too soon if you ask me. Granted it was a nice detour from the usual PRC podcasts but it felt empty. Maybe it's because i`m so used to hearing all of you together but it was lacking somewhat. Am i being too harsh?. This is were it gets better. Once i heard the first "real" episode to "The log of the crimson lien" it all made sense. I didn`t remember everything but it did seemed to make a bit more sense and didn`t need much of an explanation. For one, the races in this universe made much more sense once the actors fleshed them out with their talents. So yeah, i`ll be finishing off the hiatus podcasts tonight.  Wink

Anyways, "The log of the crimson lien". This was a absolute joy to listen to. Firstly, i`m glad Wes has gotten a chance to be the lead as i always thought you had the ability to hold the show. While the Irish fiddle music (i'm Irish!) is a bit corny and a bit too much Firefly-like i think it does add quite a lot of charm to the whole piece. This episode has grabbed my attention and is shaping up to be the show that steals "The Stargate Cafes" crown in my humble opinion. Also, once again the entire cast really did give it their all. Rather than hearing rehashed versions of past characters im pleased to say each actor (and actress!) gave charming performances.

More i say, more!!!

Mr. Denny, thank you very much.  That warmed the heart (Needed on this cold day).

I agree on almost every point, except the music.  I love the music and think it fits perfectly.  However, it will not always be the theme music.  I found that music and we're working on getting an in-house song that will be along those lines.  Of course, you are welcome to your opinion and I would rather hear it than not.

I especially agree about the hiatus episodes.  If, after episode 2 of those I hadn't posted them yet, I'd likely have scrapped the whole thing.  However, I went ahead with them for 2 reasons:

1) I had already started, and it was only 4 (which became 5) episodes that would be empty air anyway.
2) I wanted to totally hammer home the fact that these are all humans. Cheesy

The Crimson Lien has already surpassed the Stargate Cafe in my heart.  I hate to say it but it's true.  I've already written one more episode of Stargate Cafe (In addition to the season premiere) and am working on another now, but my muse *definitely* wants to get that over with so she can give me all the ideas for the new Crimson Liens.
