Ok,

Firstly let me apologies yet again for taking my own hiatus from PR. To tell the truth I kind of fell out with the SGC and LoCL. It came to a point for me in which Sci-fi audio drama was just uninteresting. Not just this show but the whole genre in general. I started listening to Decoder Ring and Second Shift and even my time at these forums became sparse.

However, after a short hiatus I'm once again interested in these characters and stories. But Murphy's law kicks in and I came back to find SGC was canceled. In a way I'm disappointed as this was the flagship show to PR but as soon as I listened to Wes's reason for this I completely agreed. The SGC was always going to be like walking a tightrope, your characters are only in one location most of the time and this leads to a dead end. I agree with Wes, it seems like there's nowhere to go with the story. Now, I haven't even started the second season (i know, for shame) but I just wanted to say that I stand by the decision made. The last thing you want is one show draining your creative flare and dragging the show down. At this point the Crimson Lien has much more depth and has endless possibilities of potential stories.

However, I will say this. Please, please make one more SGC and give it an ending. Give us some closure. Give it an ending that isn't final in case you want to go back. Let's be honest, it might just be that you need a break from that universe.

Anyway, tonight I'll get stuck into season 2 and enjoy it while it lasts. But I just wanted to thank you and the cast for bringing us the SGC. It truly was a ride worth taking. Smiley

I am sad and disappointed that SGC is ending.  I don't like anything about it.    The television show Cheers (which I have likened SGC to) lasted 7 seasons, with the setting being the same for every show (for the most part) -  the bar.  I hope Wes and the crew reconsider, or at least produce a special episode of the SGC from time to time.

Very true but I found myself agreeing with Wes during the announcement. I never thought I would welcome and end to the SGC but having both series running at one time is confusing. Over the Decoder Ring Theater they do seasons of shows. They would have a group of five episodes of Black Jack Justice then move onto five episodes of The Red Panda. A setup like that is much better I think.
